- Granulated sugar1 1/3 cups
- Water1 1/4 cups
- Instant espresso powder1/4 cup
- Unsweetened cocoa powder1 teaspoon
- Vodka1 1/3 cups
- Brandy2/3 cup
- Vanilla beans, split lengthwise2
👨🍳Instructions
- Heat sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir until dissolved.
- Stir in espresso powder and cocoa.
- Bring just to a boil.
- Remove from heat.
- Off heat, add vodka and brandy.
- Stir.
- Place split vanilla beans in a 1-quart glass jar.
- Pour the mixture over the beans.
- Seal the jar.
- Steep in a cool dark place for 1–2 months.
- Shake weekly.
- Strain when mellowed.
