Ingredients
  • Cardamom pods (or ground cardamom)4 pods (or 1/2 tsp ground)
  • Coarsely ground dark-roast coffee45 g
  • Boiling water475 ml
  • Sugarto taste
  • Iceenough to fill 2 tall glasses
  • Sweetened condensed milk (or evaporated milk)75 ml
Instructions
  1. 1Lightly crush the cardamom pods.
  2. 2Grind the seeds.
  3. 3Combine the ground cardamom with the coffee.
  4. 4Slowly pour 475 ml boiling water over the coffee.
  5. 5Steep 10 minutes.
  6. 6Strain.
  7. 7Sweeten the hot coffee to taste.
  8. 8Fill two tall glasses with ice.
  9. 9Divide the coffee between the glasses.
  10. 10Gently float the sweetened condensed (or evaporated) milk over the top by pouring it over the back of a spoon.

Pro Tip

  • Skip if using pre-ground.
  • Serve immediately.
