Ingredients
  • Bael (wood apple) fruit, large1
  • Chilled water1 liter
  • Sugar4 tbsp
  • Mint leaves (crushed)a few
  • Ice cubesa few
  • Salt (optional)a tiny pinch
Instructions
  1. 1Break the hard rind of the bael.
  2. 2Scoop out the pulp.
  3. 3Mash the pulp with your fingers.
  4. 4Remove the bitter seeds.
  5. 5Add chilled water.
  6. 6Mash again.
  7. 7Press the mixture through a sieve.
  8. 8Discard the fibers and seeds.
  9. 9Stir in the sugar until completely dissolved.
  10. 10Add ice cubes.
  11. 11Add lightly crushed mint leaves.
  12. 12Stir to combine.
  13. 13Add a tiny pinch of salt.

  • Salt is optional.
  • Serve chilled.
