Ingredients
  • Watermelon (seeded and cubed)1 whole, 8–10 lb
  • Fresh limes, quartered (for juicing)3–5 limes
  • Granulated sugar1/4–1/2 cup, to taste
  • Cold water6–8 cups
  • IcePlenty, for serving
Instructions
  1. 1Seed the watermelon.
  2. 2Purée the pulp in a blender or food processor.
  3. 3Strain into a large wide-mouth jar or pitcher.
  4. 4Squeeze in the lime juice.
  5. 5Add the sugar.
  6. 6Add 6–8 cups water.
  7. 7Mix well.
  8. 8Adjust sweetness and acidity to taste.
  9. 9Add plenty of ice.
  10. 10Ladle or pour into glasses.
  11. 11Serve.

  • The juiced lime rinds may be added to infuse.
