Ingredients
- Water (cold or room temperature)4 cups
- Lemon juice (from 2 small–medium lemons, or 3 small limes)about 6 Tbsp, to taste
- Sugar (raw or white; jaggery optional)6–8 Tbsp, to taste
- Roasted cumin powder1/2 tsp
- Chaat masala1/2–1 tsp, to taste
- Black salt (kala namak) or regular salt1/4 tsp
- Black or white pepper (optional)1/4 tsp
- Mint leaves (garnish, optional)3–4 leaves
Instructions
- 1Combine water and freshly squeezed lemon or lime juice in a jar or bowl.
- 2Add sugar, roasted cumin powder, chaat masala, black salt, and pepper (if using).
- 3Stir until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is combined.
- 4Taste.
- 5Adjust sweetness, salt, and spice.
- 6Serve.
Pro Tip
- Garnish with mint.
- Add ice if desired.
- Pepper is optional.
