Ingredients
  • Cuban white rum5 cl (1 2/3 oz)
  • Fresh lime juice3 cl (1 oz)
  • Sugar syrup (simple syrup)2 cl (2/3 oz)
  • Fresh mint leaves7–10 leaves
  • Champagne (brut), chilledabout 5 cl (1 2/3 oz), to top
  • Crushed iceas needed
Instructions
  1. 1Gently muddle the mint with the sugar syrup and lime juice.
  2. 2Fill the glass with crushed ice.
  3. 3Add rum.
  4. 4Top with chilled Champagne.
  5. 5Stir briefly.

  • Use a chilled highball.
  • Do not tear the mint leaves.
  • Garnish with a mint sprig (optional).
