Ingredients
  • fresh lemon juice1 cup
  • superfine sugar1/2 cup
  • brandy1 1/2 cups
  • amontillado sherry1 1/2 cups
  • ruby port1/4 cup
  • Cointreau or Grand Marnier1/4 cup
  • chilled sparkling wine2 bottles (750 ml each)
  • well-chilled club soda1 liter
  • ice cubesas needed
  • orange slices (garnish)to taste
Instructions
  1. 1Stir lemon juice with superfine sugar until dissolved.
  2. 2Add brandy.
  3. 3Add amontillado sherry.
  4. 4Add ruby port.
  5. 5Add Cointreau (or Grand Marnier).
  6. 6Gently add the chilled sparkling wine.
  7. 7Gently add club soda.
  8. 8Stir to combine.
  9. 9Add ice.
  10. 10Garnish with orange and lemon slices.
