  • Cinnamon sticks8
  • Sugar or grated panela1 cup
  • Aguardiente (sugarcane spirit)1–2 oz per serving, to taste
Instructions
  1. 1Combine water, cinnamon sticks, and sugar/panela in a pot.
  2. 2Bring to a boil.
  3. 3Reduce heat.
  4. 4Cover the pot.
  5. 5Simmer 30–40 minutes.
  6. 6Remove from heat.
  7. 7Add aguardiente to the pot or per cup.
  8. 8Serve hot.
